The lever handle sets are made from 2mm stainless steel and are designed to work in conjunction with our 9-12 point locking steel security doors. the handle set is the same for both our standard and heavy duty grade door and come supplied in a high quality brushed stainless steel finish. Our handle sets are manufactured to a standard size and not only suit our doors but various other types of steel doors and multi point lock mechanisms.

The handle sets contains the followings parts:

Internal and external handle set complete with the levers attached
Spindle and fixings to connect the internal and external handles together
Thumb turn to activate the independent privacy snib below the key hole on the internal handle
The cut out in the handles is an oval profile that that allows an escutcheon plate/cylinder cover to slot through and protect the euro profile cylinder installed in the door.

Although the handles are reversible and you can turn them around to suit either hand door it is easier if you order the correct handles to suit the door you have. All you need to do is look at the door from the outside of the building and see if the hinges are on the left or right. If the hinges are on the left hand side then you require a left hand handle set, if the hinges are on the right then you require a right hand handle set.

If you are concerned that our handles will not fit your existing door please feel free to email our sales team a picture of your door to [email protected] or alternatively view the CAD drawing which shows the centres for fixing points.

  • The handing is detemined by the direction the handle points towards the hinge side of the frame when fitted.

FAQs

  • In stock single doors: The cylinder and key set is found in the top of the frame.
  • Double doors: The cylinder is placed in one of the handle boxes.
  • Fire exits: The keys are taped to the door or around the panic bar.

All our frames come supplied with side channels that are fitted around the outside of the frame. The side channels expand by winding out the fixing bolts which in turn push the side channels outwards allowing you to expand the frame between the two measurements.

All our doors are designed to open outwards which makes them more secure and weather-proof. If you require the door to open inwards you are required to install the frame the opposite way, this does have an effect on the security and weather-proof aspect of the door. We would recommend adding a rain drip to any inward opening doors being installed externally helping to prevent water ingress.

A blanking plate is a sheet of steel used to cover the handle fixing locations that are pre-cut into our multi-point locking door blades. These are only necessary if you don’t require a lever handle to be fitted, we offer these with or without key access.
